One of our employees relays phone messages about phone calls to her supervisor. Right now she is emailing these phone messages to her supervisor. They are mixed in with other emails and are difficult to keep track of. We tried an Outlook Add-In that was basically an email template for phone messages called "Message Pad".
Checking these items off would cause the icon beside the phone message to change color. This way he would know who he needed to call back. For awhile we used a program called "Phone Slips" which had these check offs, but we stopped using it because this program started producing an error that we could not resolve.
It would be nice to have a solution that would use Outlook, but we are willing to try non-Outlook solutions, as well. The simplest solution would be to create a standard message format with a particular subject text such as "Phone Message" and have the supervisor set a rule to direct messages with that subject to an inbox sub folder. The messages will then not be mixed with any others. We have also tried Phone Pad which produced errors, so we stopped using it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help. But if you have contacts folders in a deeper location, they will not be detected by the Outlook add-in, and as a result they will not be listed in the configuration dialog. You should keep that parameter as small as possible, because larger values will cause a larger iteration, and possibly turn Outlook unresponsive for a while. But if your desired contact folder is not being shown, you can increase the value of this parameter to solve the issue.
